Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fruits

Slice the oranges, lemons, and limes into thin rounds. Hull and quarter the strawberries or prepare the blueberries. Place all the prepared fruits into a large pitcher.

Mixing

  1. 2

    Combine the Ingredients

Pour the red wine, orange juice, and brandy into the pitcher with the fruit. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients.

  2. 3

    Add Sweeteners

Add the granulated sugar and stir until dissolved. Taste and add simple syrup if you prefer a sweeter sangria.

Chilling

  1. 4

    Chill the Sangria

Refrigerate the sangria for at least 2 hours, allowing the flavors to meld together. This can also be prepared a day in advance for better flavor.

Serving

  1. 5

    Serve with Bubbles

Just before serving, add the club soda to the pitcher and stir gently. Serve the sangria over ice and garnish each glass with additional fruit slices if desired.

  2. 6

    Add Cinnamon

Drop a cinnamon stick into the pitcher for additional flavor. Serve immediately.
