Base Preparation

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

Combine Mixtures
Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

While the base is baking, rinse the fresh berries under cold water and pat them dry. Set aside.
