Base

Method

Base Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

  2. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  4. 4

    Prepare Baking Pan

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.

  5. 5

    Bake the Base

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Topping Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare Berries

While the base is baking, rinse the fresh berries under cold water and pat them dry. Set aside.

  2. 7

    Prepare Whipped Cream

In a mixing bowl, whip the cream until soft peaks form. Add powdered sugar and whip until stiff peaks form.

Assembly

  1. 8

    Assemble the Dish

Once the base has cooled slightly, top it with the fresh berries and dollops of whipped cream.

  2. 9

    Serve

Cut into squares and serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy your Bobby Chez!
