Blackberry Purée

Lime Juice

Soda Water

Garnish (optional)

Method

Blackberry Purée

  1. 1

    Prepare the Blackberry Purée

In a medium saucepan, combine the blackberries, sugar, and water. Heat over medium heat until the mixture begins to simmer.

  2. 2

    Blend and Strain

Once the mixture has simmered for about 5 minutes, remove from heat. Use a blender to puree the mixture until smooth. Strain the puree through a fine sieve into a bowl to remove the seeds, pressing with a spatula to extract as much liquid as possible.

  3. 3

    Cool the Purée

Allow the blackberry purée to cool to room temperature before using.

Lime Juice

  1. 4

    Juice the Limes

Cut the fresh limes in half and use a juicer or your hands to extract the juice into a measuring cup. Set aside.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a glass, add 1/4 cup of the blackberry purée and 2 tablespoons of fresh lime juice. Stir to combine.

  2. 6

    Add Soda Water

Top the mixture with soda water, filling the glass to the top. Stir gently to combine.

  3. 7

    Garnish

If desired, garnish with fresh blackberries and lime wedges for a decorative touch.

  4. 8

    Serve

Serve immediately over ice for a refreshing drink.
