Fried Pork Wonton Ingredients
Method
Fried Pork Wonton Directions
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
- 2
Assemble the Wontons
Take a wonton wrapper and place a teaspoon of the pork filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it in half to form a triangle, and press the edges to seal. You can also fold the two outer corners of the triangle back to the center for a traditional shape.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F). You can test the oil by dropping in a small piece of wonton wrapper; it should sizzle immediately.
- 4
Fry the Wontons
Carefully add the wontons to the hot oil in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to remove them and drain on paper towels.
- 5
Serve
Serve the fried pork wontons hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
