Dipping Sauces (choose any)
Method
Prepare the Wings
- 1
Clean and Dry the Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Mix the Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir until evenly mixed.
- 3
Coat the Wings
Dip each wing into the bowl of dry mixture, ensuring they are fully coated. Shake off any excess flour, then place the wings on a tray.
- 4
Prepare the Batter
In a separate bowl, mix the water with any remaining dry mixture to create a thick batter. Dip each coated wing into the batter, allowing excess to drip off.
Fry the Wings
- 5
Heat the Oil
In a large frying pan or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 6
Fry the Wings
Carefully place the battered wings into the hot oil, cooking in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 7
Drain the Wings
Once cooked, remove the wings from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Serve the Wings
- 8
Arrange and Serve
Place the cooked wings on a serving platter and serve with your choice of dipping sauces on the side.
