Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Slice Vegetables

Thinly slice the green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and onion.

  2. 2

    Season the Sirloin

In a bowl, season the shaved sirloin with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well to ensure even seasoning.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Sauté Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced bell peppers and onions, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are soft and slightly caramelized. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  2. 4

    Cook Sirloin

In the same skillet, add the seasoned shaved sirloin and cook for about 3-5 minutes until browned and cooked through. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.

  3. 5

    Combine Ingredients

Return the sautéed vegetables to the skillet with the sirloin. Mix well and cook together for an additional 2 minutes to heat everything through.

  4. 6

    Melt Cheese

Top the sirloin and vegetable mixture with slices of Swiss cheese. Cover the skillet with a lid and let it cook for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Prepare Hoagie Rolls

While the cheese is melting, slice the hoagie rolls lengthwise without cutting all the way through.

  2. 8

    Fill Rolls

Once the cheese has melted, use a spatula to scoop the sirloin and vegetable mixture into each hoagie roll.

  3. 9

    Serve

Serve the Philly cheesesteaks hot with your choice of condiments.
