Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket

Method

Honey Mustard Crème Fraîche

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crème Fraîche

In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of crème fraîche with 2 tablespoons of honey and 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard. Mix well until smooth and set aside.

  2. 2

Prepare the Pigs in a Blanket

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut the pastry into strips wide enough to wrap around the hot dogs.

  3. 3

    Assemble

Wrap each Wagyu hot dog in a strip of puff pastry, ensuring they are fully covered. Place them seam side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  4. 4

    Egg Wash and Bake

Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the wrapped hot dogs. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with the honey mustard crème fraîche on the side.
