Wonton Taco Shells

Ground Beef Filling

Method

Wonton Taco Shells

  1. 1

    Prepare the Wonton Shells

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a muffin tin with cooking oil. Gently press each wonton wrapper into a muffin cup to form a taco shape.

  2. 2

    Bake the Wonton Shells

Bake the wonton wrappers in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.

Ground Beef Filling

  1. 3

    Cook the Ground Beef

In a large skillet over medium heat, add ground beef. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 8-10 minutes. Drain excess fat.

  2. 4

    Add Vegetables and Seasoning

Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent. Stir in soy sauce, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Mushroom Filling

  1. 5

    Cook the Mushrooms

In a separate skillet over medium heat, add finely chopped mushrooms. Cook until they release moisture and begin to brown, about 8-10 minutes.

  2. 6

    Add Vegetables and Seasoning

Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the mushrooms. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent. Stir in soy sauce, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Assemble the Tacos

  1. 7

    Fill the Taco Shells

Spoon the cooked ground beef or mushroom filling into each baked wonton shell.

  2. 8

    Add Toppings

Top each taco with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, sliced jalapeños, and chopped cilantro.

  3. 9

    Serve

Serve immediately while warm and enjoy your wonton tacos!
