Rinse the Soybeans
Place the soybeans in a colander and rinse them under cold running water to remove any dirt or impurities.

Soak the Soybeans (Optional)
For better texture, you can soak the soybeans in water for 4-8 hours before cooking. If you choose to soak them, drain and rinse them again before proceeding.

Boil the Water
In a medium-sized pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

Add the Soybeans
Once the water is boiling, add the rinsed soybeans to the pot.

Steam the Soybeans
Cover the pot with a lid and reduce the heat to medium-low. Allow the soybeans to steam for about 15-20 minutes until they are tender.

Season with Salt
Sprinkle 1 tsp of salt over the steamed soybeans and toss gently to coat evenly.
