Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until they are crispy. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Gravy

In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, whisk in the flour and cook for about 2 minutes until golden brown. Gradually add the chicken broth and milk, whisking continuously to avoid lumps. Cook until the gravy thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Fry the Eggs

In a separate skillet, heat a small amount of oil over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny, about 3-4 minutes.

  2. 4

    Assemble the Dish

In a serving bowl, place a generous portion of cooked rice. Top with the crispy bacon, a fried egg, and generously smother with the prepared gravy.
