Burger Patties

Burger Assembly

Method

Prepare Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal parts and shape them into burger patties, about 3/4 inch thick.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.

Make the Gravy

  1. 4

    Melt the Butter

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.

  2. 5

    Add Flour

Once the butter is melted, whisk in the flour and cook for about 1 minute, stirring continuously to avoid burning.

  3. 6

    Add Broth

Gradually whisk in the beef broth, ensuring there are no lumps. Bring to a simmer.

  4. 7

    Season the Gravy

Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Stir and let the gravy simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened.

Assemble the Burgers

  1. 8

    Prepare the Buns

Toast the burger buns if desired. Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun.

  2. 9

    Add the Patty

Place a cooked burger patty on top of the mayo-covered bun.

  3. 10

    Add Pickles and Gravy

Top the burger patty with 2 slices of pickles and generously spoon gravy over the top.

  4. 11

    Finish Assembly

Place the top half of the bun over the gravy and serve immediately.
