Preparing Cheese Bites

Prepare the Cheese
Cut the cheese into bite-sized cubes, about 1 inch each. Set aside.

Bread the Cheese
Take each cheese cube, dip it in the flour, shaking off the excess, then dip it in the egg, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs. Ensure each cube is well-covered. Repeat until all cheese is breaded.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer for accuracy.

Fry the Cheese Bites
Carefully add the breaded cheese cubes to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- 6
Drain and Cool
Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried cheese bites from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Let them cool for a minute.
Making Marinara Sauce

- 8
Add Tomatoes and Seasoning
Pour in the crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and let simmer for about 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- 9
Serve
Remove from heat and garnish with fresh basil before serving alongside the fried cheese bites.
