Cook the Pasta
In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt and the penne pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Vegetable and Chicken Sauté

Sauté Vegetables and Chicken (if using)
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Add the diced chicken (if using) and cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Then, add the bell pepper, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, broccoli, and carrots. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until vegetables are tender.

Prepare the Sauce
Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir well to combine with the vegetables and chicken. Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring constantly until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Add the drained penne pasta to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss gently to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce and vegetables.
