Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal parts and shape them into burger patties, approximately 1 inch thick.

  3. 3

    Cook Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. If using, place cheddar cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Burger Assembly

  1. 4

    Prepare Buns

Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 5

    Assemble Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked burger patty, a slice of tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.

Fries Preparation

  1. 6

    Prep Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips for fries.

  2. 7

    Heat Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 8

    Fry Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.

  4. 9

    Drain and Season

Remove fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt while still hot.
