Preparation

Brewing the Tea

1. Boil the Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

2. Steep the Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove the saucepan from heat and add 4 tsp of loose black tea leaves or 4 tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

3. Remove Tea Leaves/Bags

After steeping, remove the tea leaves or tea bags from the saucepan. If using loose tea, you may want to strain the tea into another container to remove the leaves.

4. Cool the Tea

Let the brewed tea cool to room temperature. If you prefer iced tea, you can refrigerate it after it has cooled.

Serving the Tea

5. Prepare the Glass

If serving iced, fill a glass with ice cubes.

6. Pour the Tea

Pour the cooled unsweetened tea into the glass over the ice, if using.

7. Add Optional Flavors

Garnish with lemon slices or fresh mint leaves as desired.

8. Serve

Stir gently and serve immediately. Enjoy your refreshing unsweetened tea!
