Method
Prepare the Fries
- 1
Cook the Fries
Preheat your oven or fryer according to the package instructions for the frozen French fries. If using an oven, spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet. If using a fryer, fill it with vegetable oil according to the manufacturer's instructions. Cook until golden and crispy, approximately 20-30 minutes in the oven or 5-7 minutes in the fryer.
Assemble the Loaded Fries
- 2
Layer the Toppings
Once the fries are cooked, remove them from the oven or fryer and place them on a serving platter. Immediately sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the hot fries, followed by the crumbled bacon and sliced jalapeños.
- 3
Melt the Cheese
If desired, place the assembled fries under a broiler for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Keep a close eye to prevent burning.
- 4
Serve with Sour Cream
Remove the fries from the broiler and drizzle sour cream over the top or serve it on the side for dipping. Enjoy your loaded fries while hot!
