Salmon

Asparagus

Lemon Butter Sauce

Method

Prepare the Salmon

  1. 1

    Marinate the Salmon

In a small bowl, mix olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Rub the mixture over the salmon fillets and let marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

    Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F / 190°C to 200°C).

  3. 3

    Grill the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill. Cook for about 6-8 minutes, then flip and grill for an additional 4-6 minutes, or until salmon flakes easily with a fork.

Prepare the Asparagus

  1. 4

    Prepare the Asparagus

Trim the woody ends off the asparagus spears. In a bowl, toss them with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 5

    Grill the Asparagus

Place the asparagus on the grill alongside the salmon. Grill for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until tender and slightly charred.

Make the Lemon Butter Sauce

  1. 6

    Melt the Butter

In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.

  2. 7

    Add Lemon and Garlic

Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute. Then, stir in the fresh lemon juice and lemon zest.

  3. 8

    Finish the Sauce

Remove from heat and mix in the chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve

  1. 9

    Plating

On a serving plate, place the grilled salmon fillet and arrange the grilled asparagus alongside. Drizzle the lemon butter sauce over the salmon and asparagus before serving.
