Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Oreo Crust

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a food processor, crush 24 Oreo cookies until they form fine crumbs. Melt 1 cup of unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Combine the Oreo crumbs with the melted butter in a mixing bowl and stir until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Crust

Press the Oreo mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.

Filling Preparation

  1. 3

    Mix the Filling

In a large mixing bowl, beat 8 oz of cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Gradually add 1 cup of powdered sugar, mixing until well combined.

  2. 4

    Add Cool Whip

Fold in 1 cup of cool whip topping and 1 tsp of vanilla extract into the cream cheese mixture until smooth.

  3. 5

    Incorporate Crumbled Oreos

Gently mix in 10 crumbled Oreo cookies to the filling mixture. Make sure they are evenly distributed.

  4. 6

    Fill the Crust

Spread the filling evenly over the cooled Oreo crust in the springform pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.

Topping Preparation

  1. 7

    Prepare the Topping

Drizzle 1 cup of chocolate syrup over the filling. Then sprinkle 5 chopped Oreo cookies on top for extra crunch and flavor.

  2. 8

    Chill the Dessert

Cover the springform pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the filling to set.
