Melt Butter
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the unsalted butter in the microwave until fully melted. Allow it to cool slightly.

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
Baking

Fill Ramekins
Pour the batter evenly into the prepared ramekins, filling each about 3/4 full.

Place the ramekins in the preheated oven and bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is still soft.

Cool Slightly
Remove the ramekins from the oven and let them sit for 1 minute before inverting onto plates.

Dust the warm cakes with powdered sugar. Serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side.
