Chop the Tomatoes
Dice the fresh tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

Prepare the Basil
Chop the fresh basil leaves finely and add them to the bowl with the tomatoes.

Add Flavoring
Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the bowl. Then, drizzle in the balsamic vinegar, sprinkle the salt, and add black pepper to taste. Mix everything together gently.

Slice the Bread
Slice the baguette or Italian bread into 1/2 inch thick pieces.

Toast the Bread
Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and toast them in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown, flipping halfway through for even toasting.

Top the Bread
Remove the toasted bread from the oven and let it cool slightly. Spoon the tomato and basil mixture generously on top of each slice.
