Preparation of Milk Punch Base

  1. 1

    Combine Dairy Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole milk and heavy cream. Whisk until well blended.

  2. 2

    Incorporate Sugar and Flavorings

Add the sugar, nutmeg, vanilla extract, and fresh lemon juice to the milk mixture. Whisk until the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth.

  3. 3

    Add Alcohol

Slowly pour in the bourbon or rum, whisking continuously to ensure it is fully incorporated into the mixture.

  4. 4

    Chill the Mixture

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.

Serving the Cocktail

  1. 5

    Strain and Serve

After chilling, strain the milk punch into a clean pitcher or bowl, discarding any solids that may have formed.

  2. 6

    Pour into Glasses

Fill a glass with the milk punch mixture, leaving some space at the top.

  3. 7

    Add Garnish

Sprinkle a pinch of ground nutmeg on top of each drink and add a cinnamon stick as a stirrer.

  4. 8

    Enjoy

Serve immediately and enjoy your rotating small-batch feature cocktail!
