Method

Preparation of Espresso

  1. 1

    Brew the Espresso

Brew 1 cup of strong espresso and allow it to cool to room temperature.

Cream Mixture

  1. 2

    Prepare the Cream Mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine 500 grams of mascarpone cheese, 1 cup of heavy cream, 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Whip the mixture using an electric mixer until it forms soft peaks.

Alcohol Mix

  1. 3

    Mix the Alcohol

In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup of Marsala wine and 2 tablespoons of dark rum.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Layer the Ingredients

Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso, making sure to coat both sides but not soak them. Layer half of the dipped ladyfingers at the bottom of a rectangular dish.

  2. 5

    Add the Cream Mixture

Spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture evenly over the layer of ladyfingers.

  3. 6

    Repeat Layers

Repeat the process with the remaining ladyfingers and the rest of the cream mixture, ensuring a smooth top layer.

Topping

  1. 7

    Finish with Cocoa and Chocolate

Sift 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder over the top layer of the tiramisu and garnish with 50 grams of dark chocolate shavings.

Chilling

  1. 8

    Refrigerate

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
