Method

Preparation of Bread

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 2

    Slice Baguette

Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices.

  3. 3

    Roast Bread

Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush them with olive oil, and roast in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Preparation of Fig Sauce

  1. 4

    Prepare Figs

Wash the fresh figs and remove the stems. Cut them into quarters.

  2. 5

    Cook Fig Sauce

In a small saucepan, combine the quartered figs, honey, and lemon juice. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for about 10-15 minutes until the figs break down into a sauce. Remove from heat and let cool.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Spread Mascarpone

Once the bread is roasted, spread a generous layer of mascarpone cheese on each slice.

  2. 7

    Add Fig Sauce

Top the mascarpone with a spoonful of the fig sauce.

  3. 8

    Add Prosciutto and Rosemary

Place a slice of prosciutto over the fig sauce and sprinkle with fresh rosemary. Add a pinch of salt to taste.

Serving

  1. 9

    Plate and Serve

Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter and serve immediately.
