Method
Dough Preparation
- 1
Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water (about 110°F) and sugar. Sprinkle yeast over the top and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- 2
Mix Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the activated yeast mixture along with olive oil.
- 3
Knead Dough
Mix until a dough forms. Knead on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 4
Let Dough Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Assembling the Pizza
- 5
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it preheats.
- 6
Shape the Dough
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to a 12-inch circle.
- 7
Add Sauce and Cheese
Transfer the dough to a pizza peel or baking sheet. Spread tomato sauce evenly over the base, then sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top.
- 8
Add Toppings
Evenly distribute the pepperoni slices and sliced jalapeños over the cheese.
- 9
Drizzle Honey
Drizzle wildflower honey over the assembled pizza for a sweet finish.
- 10
Bake Pizza
Carefully slide the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or place the baking sheet in the oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- 11
Slice and Serve
Remove from oven, let cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve while warm.
