Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Apple Puree

If using fresh apples, peel, core, and chop them into small pieces. Blend the chopped apples in a blender until smooth. You may add a little water if necessary to achieve a puree consistency.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Lemon

Wash the lemon thoroughly. Cut it in half and squeeze the juice into a measuring cup, discarding any seeds. Slice the remaining half into thin rounds for garnish.

Mixing

  1. 3

    Combine the Ingredients

In a large pitcher, combine the apple puree, lemon juice, and red or white wine. Stir well to mix all the ingredients.

  2. 4

    Add Soda

Slowly pour in the lemon-lime soda into the pitcher. Stir gently to combine, being careful not to lose the carbonation.

Garnishing and Serving

  1. 5

    Add Garnishes

If desired, add fresh mint leaves and sliced fruits to the sangria for added flavor and presentation.

  2. 6

    Serve

Pour the sangria into glasses filled with ice. Garnish with additional lemon slices or mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately.
