Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate the Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water and sugar. Sprinkle the active dry yeast over the top and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.

  3. 3

    Knead the Dough

Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Let it Rise

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Assembling the Pizza

  1. 5

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat up.

  2. 6

    Shape the Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a floured surface. Roll or stretch it into a 12-inch circle.

  3. 7

    Add Cheese Base

Spread the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

  4. 8

    Layer the Meats

Evenly distribute the pepperoni, crumbled fennel sausage, and slices of spicy soppressata salami over the cheese.

  5. 9

    Add Tomato and Parmesan

Top the pizza with sliced tomato and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over everything.

  6. 10

    Bake the Pizza

Carefully transfer the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet and bake for about 12-15 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.

Serving

  1. 11

    Slice and Serve

Once the pizza is done, remove it from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes before slicing. Serve hot.
