Preparation of Croutons

Make the Croutons
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut crusty bread into bite-sized cubes and place them in a bowl.

Bake the Croutons
Spread the seasoned bread cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Stir halfway through for even browning.
Preparation of Caesar Dressing

Mix the Dressing
In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and anchovy paste.

Whisk Together
Whisk the ingredients together until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Assembling the Salad

Prepare the Salad Base
Wash and dry the romaine lettuce. Chop it into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.

Add Dressing
Drizzle the prepared Caesar dressing over the chopped romaine lettuce and toss to coat evenly.

Add Croutons and Cheese
Top the salad with the homemade croutons and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
