Brew 1 cup of strong espresso and allow it to cool down to room temperature.

In a shallow dish, combine the cooled espresso with 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar and 2 tablespoons of coffee liqueur, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
Mascarpone Mixture Preparation

In a large mixing bowl, combine 16 oz of mascarpone cheese with 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Whip Heavy Cream
In a separate bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

Combine Mixtures
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.

Separate Eggs
Separate 3 large eggs, placing the yolks in one bowl and the whites in another.

Beat Egg Yolks
Beat the egg yolks until thick and pale, then fold them into the mascarpone mixture.

Dip Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they're soaked but not soggy.

In a rectangular dish, create a layer of soaked ladyfingers, followed by a layer of the mascarpone mixture. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the mascarpone mixture on top.

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Before serving, dust the top layer of mascarpone with 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and sprinkle with shaved or grated dark chocolate.
