Method
Preparation
Prepare the Watermelon
Cut the watermelon in half and scoop out the flesh with a melon baller or a spoon. Make sure to create small, round balls or chunks of watermelon for easier handling and presentation.
Melt the Chocolate
In a microwave-safe bowl, break the dark chocolate into small pieces. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until fully melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate.
Assembly
Dip the Watermelon
Take each watermelon ball or chunk and dip it into the melted dark chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off.
Season with Sea Salt
Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over each chocolate-dipped watermelon piece for a flavor contrast.
Add Optional Toppings
If desired, sprinkle a little chili powder over the chocolate-dipped watermelon for a spicy kick or place a mint leaf on top for a refreshing touch.
Serving
Chill and Serve
Place the chocolate-dipped watermelon pieces on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to set. Serve chilled as a refreshing dessert or snack.
