Pizza Dough

Method

Prepare Pizza Dough

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Mix well.

  3. 3

    Combine and Knead

Add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms, then knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Prepare Toppings

  1. 5

    Cook the Steak

Season the steak with salt and black pepper. Grill or pan-sear the steak over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Let it rest for a few minutes, then slice thinly.

  2. 6

    Caramelize Onions

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and sauté until they are soft and caramelized, about 10-15 minutes.

Assemble and Bake Pizza

  1. 7

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.

  2. 8

    Shape the Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and turn it onto a floured surface. Roll or stretch the dough into your desired pizza shape and thickness.

  3. 9

    Add Toppings

Spread ranch dressing over the pizza base. Evenly distribute the grilled onions, sliced steak, and shredded mozzarella cheese on top.

  4. 10

    Bake Pizza

Transfer the pizza to the preheated oven (or onto the hot pizza stone) and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.

  5. 11

    Slice and Serve

Remove from the oven, let cool for a couple of minutes, slice, and serve hot.
