Season the Pork
In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Rub this spice mixture all over the pork shoulder.

Cook the Pork
Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Pour apple cider vinegar and water over the pork. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shredded.

Make the BBQ Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, smoked paprika, and salt. Stir well and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Assemble Sandwich

Shred the Pork
Once the pork is cooked, remove it from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Discard any excess fat.

Combine with BBQ Sauce
Mix the shredded pork with the prepared BBQ sauce until evenly coated.

Build the Sandwich
Place a generous amount of BBQ pulled pork on the bottom half of the toasted bun. Top with coleslaw if desired, then close the sandwich with the top half of the bun.
