Choice of Two Meats
Side Dish
Method
Preparing the Ribs
- 1
Prep the Ribs
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the pork spare ribs for better flavor absorption.
- 2
Season the Ribs
In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Rub the mixture all over the ribs. Drizzle olive oil over the ribs to help the rub stick.
- 3
Bake the Ribs
Place the seasoned ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover the ribs tightly with another piece of foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the meat is tender.
- 4
Preparing the Choice of Two Meats
- 5
Cook the Smoked Sausage
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the smoked sausage links until browned and heated through, about 8-10 minutes. Slice them into bite-sized pieces.
- 6
Reheat Pulled Pork
If using pre-cooked pulled pork, reheat it in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through, about 5-7 minutes.
- 7
Prepare Chicken Thighs
Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper. In a skillet, cook over medium heat until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C), about 6-8 minutes per side.
- 8
Prepare Brisket
If using pre-cooked brisket, slice and reheat it in the oven or skillet until warmed through.
Preparing the Side Dish
- 9
Make the Coleslaw
In a large bowl, combine coleslaw mix with your choice of dressing. Toss well and refrigerate until ready to serve.
