Method

Preparation of Meats

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pulled Pork

In a slow cooker, add the pulled pork. Pour half of the BBQ sauce over the pork and season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Cook on low for 6-8 hours until tender and easy to shred.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Sliced Brisket

If using pre-cooked brisket, slice it thinly. If cooking from raw, season with salt and pepper, then smoke or roast until it reaches an internal temperature of 195°F (90°C). Allow to rest for 30 minutes before slicing.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Pulled Chicken

In a separate slow cooker, add the pulled chicken with half of the remaining BBQ sauce. Cook on low for 4-6 hours until the chicken is tender and easily shredded.

  4. 4

    Cook the Sausage

Grill or pan-fry the Joe’s KC sausage links over medium heat for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until they are cooked through and have a nice char.

Assembling the Sandwich

  1. 5

    Toast the Buns

Lightly toast the sandwich buns on a grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Layer the Meats

On the bottom half of each bun, layer a spoonful of pulled pork, followed by the sliced brisket, pulled chicken, and sliced sausage.

  3. 7

    Add Toppings

Top the meats with a generous scoop of coleslaw and a few pickle slices.

  4. 8

    Finish the Sandwich

Drizzle remaining BBQ sauce over the toppings and place the top half of the bun on each sandwich.
