Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Beef Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined, then form into two equal-sized patties.
- 2
Slice the Jalapeños
Remove the stems and seeds from the jalapeño peppers, then slice them thinly.
- 3
Prepare the Lettuce and Guacamole
Wash the lettuce and pat it dry. If using store-bought guacamole, set it aside; if making your own, mash avocados and mix with lime juice and salt.
Cooking
- 4
Cook the Patties
Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side until browned. Flip the patties and place a slice of pepperjack cheese on top of each patty. Continue to cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patties reach your desired doneness.
- 5
Toast the Buns
While the patties are cooking, toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.
Assembly
- 6
Assemble the Burger
Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Layer the cooked beef patty with melted cheese, followed by guacamole, sliced jalapeños, and a handful of lettuce. Top with the other half of the bun.
- 7
Serve
Serve the Hot Mama Burger immediately with your favorite side dishes.
