Baking Instructions

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Ramekins

Grease four ramekins with butter and lightly dust with flour to prevent sticking.

  3. 3

    Melt Butter and Chocolate

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and semi-sweet chocolate together over low heat, stirring until smooth.

  4. 4

    Mix Sugar and Eggs

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, eggs, and egg yolks until well combined.

  5. 5

    Combine Mixtures

Slowly add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture while whisking continuously. Add in the vanilla extract and salt.

  6. 6

    Add Flour

Gently fold in the flour until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

  7. 7

    Fill Ramekins

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins.

  8. 8

    Bake

Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is soft.

  9. 9

    Serve

Let the cakes cool for 1 minute, then carefully invert onto plates. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
