Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Start by seasoning the salmon fillets with salt and black pepper on both sides. Trim the asparagus by removing the tough ends.

  2. 2

    Cook the Asparagus

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the asparagus and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender, then remove from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Sear the Salmon

In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil. Once hot, place the salmon fillets skin-side down and sear for about 4-5 minutes. Carefully flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until cooked through.

  4. 4

    Make the Lemon Butter

In the last minute of cooking the salmon, add the butter to the skillet along with the juice of the lemon. Spoon the melted lemon butter over the salmon.

  5. 5

    Serve

Plate the salmon along with the sautéed asparagus, and drizzle any remaining lemon butter over the top before serving.
