Prepare the Vegetables
Chop the onion and red bell pepper into small pieces. Mince the garlic cloves.

Sauté the Base
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and red bell pepper. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.

Add Garlic and Spices
Add the minced garlic, ground cumin, paprika, and cayenne pepper to the skillet. Stir and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add Tomatoes
Pour in the canned diced tomatoes (with their juice) into the skillet. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

Simmer the Sauce
Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens slightly.
