Panna Cotta Base

Method

Panna Cotta Base Preparation

  1. 1

    Bloom the Gelatin

In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin powder over cold water and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes to bloom.

  2. 2

    Combine Cream and Sugar

In a medium saucepan, combine heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is hot but not boiling.

  3. 3

    Add Vanilla and Gelatin

Remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in the bloomed gelatin and vanilla extract until fully dissolved.

  4. 4

    Pour into Molds

Pour the mixture into individual serving molds or cups. Allow to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes before transferring to the refrigerator.

  5. 5

    Chill

Refrigerate the panna cotta for at least 4 hours or until set.

Berry Sauce Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Sauce

In a small saucepan, combine mixed berries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring gently until the berries break down and the sauce thickens, about 10 minutes.

  2. 7

    Cool the Sauce

Remove from heat and let the berry sauce cool before serving.

Serving

  1. 8

    Unmold and Serve

To serve, run a knife around the edge of the panna cotta molds to loosen. Invert onto plates and drizzle with berry sauce. Enjoy your delicious panna cotta!
