Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Bring Steak to Room Temperature

Remove the Angus ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before cooking. This ensures even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steaks

In a small bowl, mix together the kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Rub the mixture generously over both sides of each ribeye steak. Drizzle with olive oil and rub it into the meat.

Grilling

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450-500°F or 230-260°C). If using a charcoal grill, ensure the coals are glowing red and covered with white ash.

  2. 4

    Grill the Steaks

Place the seasoned ribeye steaks on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving them. Flip the steaks and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness.

  3. 5

    Check Internal Temperature

Use an instant-read thermometer to check the internal temperature. For medium-rare, aim for 130-135°F (54-57°C).

  4. 6

    Rest the Steaks

Once cooked to your liking, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest on a cutting board for 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.
