Brewing the Tea

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 16 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

Steep Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 8 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 10-15 minutes, depending on how strong you want the flavor.

Remove Tea Bags
After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags from the pot, making sure not to squeeze them to avoid bitterness.
Sweetening the Tea

While the tea is still warm, stir in 2 cups of granulated sugar until completely dissolved.
Flavoring and Cooling

Add 1 whole sliced lemon and 1 cup of fresh mint leaves to the sweetened tea for added flavor.
