Brown the Pork
Add the diced pork shoulder to the pot and season with salt and black pepper. Brown the pork on all sides for about 8-10 minutes.

Add Garlic
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.

Combine Remaining Ingredients
Pour in the canned crushed tomatoes, milk, and add the bay leaves. Stir everything together and bring to a simmer.

Simmer the Sugo
Cover the pot and allow the sauce to simmer on low heat for about 1.5 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until the pork is tender.

Cook the Pasta
In a separate pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Finish the Sugo
Once the pork is tender, remove the bay leaves and shred the pork with two forks. Stir to combine the shredded pork with the sauce, adjusting salt and pepper to taste.

Combine Pasta and Sugo
Add the cooked pasta to the pot with the sugo and toss gently to coat the pasta with the sauce.

Serve the pasta in bowls, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and garnished with fresh basil.
