Pork Ribs

Method

Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). In a bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, and smoked paprika. Rub this spice mix all over the pork ribs.

2

Smoke the Ribs

Soak the applewood chips in water for at least 30 minutes, then add them to the smoker. Place the seasoned ribs on the smoker rack and smoke for about 4 hours, or until the meat is tender and pulls away from the bone.

3

Make the Blackberry BBQ Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine blackberry preserves, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, and mustard powder. Stir and cook for about 10 minutes until the sauce thickens.

4

Glaze the Ribs

During the last 30 minutes of smoking, brush the blackberry BBQ sauce over the ribs every 10 minutes.

5

Serve

Once the ribs are fully cooked, remove them from the smoker, let them rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve with extra blackberry BBQ sauce on the side.
