Method

Doughnut Preparation

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a doughnut pan with non-stick spray.

2

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

3

Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, mix the milk, melted unsalted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.

4

Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.

5

Fill the Pan

Spoon the batter into the prepared doughnut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.

6

Bake

Bake the doughnuts in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

7

Cool

Allow the doughnuts to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Salted Caramel Sauce

8

Make Caramel

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the granulated sugar, stirring constantly until it turns a deep amber color.

9

Add Butter

Once the sugar is melted, carefully add the unsalted butter and stir until melted and combined.

10

Add Cream and Salt

Slowly stir in the heavy cream and sea salt, and bring to a simmer for about 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

Buttercream Frosting

11

Cream Butter

In a mixing bowl, beat the unsalted butter until creamy and smooth.

12

Add Sugar

Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing on low speed until combined.

13

Add Vanilla and Cream

Add the vanilla extract and heavy cream, then beat on high speed until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

White Chocolate Crumble

14

Prepare Crumble

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips and unsalted butter together in 30-second intervals until smooth.

15

Mix Ingredients

Mix in the all-purpose flour and brown sugar until crumbly.

16

Bake Crumble

Spread the crumble mixture on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
