Method

Preparing the Ribs

  1. 1

    Preheat the Smoker

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Rib Rub

In a small bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.

  3. 3

    Apply the Rub

Rub the spice mixture generously over the St. Louis style ribs, ensuring an even coating.

  4. 4

    Smoke the Ribs

Place the ribs in the smoker and smoke for about 4 hours, maintaining a consistent temperature of 225°F (107°C).

  5. 5

    Glaze with Barbecue Sauce

In the last 30 minutes of smoking, brush the ribs with barbecue sauce, allowing it to caramelize.

Preparing the Side Dish

  1. 6

    Bake the Cornbread

Follow the package instructions or your favorite recipe to bake the cornbread loaf.

  2. 7

    Make the Coleslaw

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage and carrots. Toss with coleslaw dressing to taste.

Serving

  1. 8

    Slice and Serve

Once the ribs are done smoking, remove them from the smoker. Let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve 3 bones of ribs with a side of cornbread and coleslaw.
