Method
Preparing the Fries
- 1
Cut the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to create fries.
- 2
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 3
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the cut potatoes to the hot oil, frying in batches if necessary. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per batch.
- 4
Drain and Season
Remove the fries from the oil and drain them on paper towels. Immediately sprinkle with salt while hot.
Preparing the Meat
- 5
Choose Your Meat
Select your preferred meat option: brisket, pulled pork, chicken, or turkey.
- 6
Prepare the Meat
If using cooked meat, warm it up in a pan or microwave until heated through. If using raw meat, cook it according to your preferred method (smoking, roasting, etc.) until fully cooked and tender.
- 7
Shred or Dice
Shred or dice the meat into bite-sized pieces suitable for topping the fries.
Assembling the Loaded Fries
- 8
Layer the Fries
Place a generous portion of the hot, crispy fries on a serving plate or platter.
- 9
Add the Meat
Top the fries with the prepared meat of your choice.
- 10
Pour on the Cheese Sauce
Drizzle the warm cheese sauce evenly over the meat and fries.
- 11
Add Fresh Toppings
Sprinkle diced tomatoes, onions, and sliced jalapeños over the loaded fries.
- 12
Finish with Sour Cream
Add a dollop of sour cream on top for added creaminess.
