Prepare the Tomatoes
Wash the green tomatoes and slice them into 1/2 inch thick rounds.

Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Tomatoes
Carefully place the breaded tomato slices in the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.

Drain and Serve
Once fried, remove the tomatoes from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve warm.
Buttermilk BBQ Dipping Sauce

Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, buttermilk, BBQ sauce, hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Adjust Seasoning
Taste the sauce and adjust the salt or hot sauce if needed.

Transfer the dipping sauce to a serving bowl and serve alongside the fried green tomatoes.
