Cooking Essentials

Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patties

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and form two equal-sized patties, about 1/2 pound each. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing while cooking.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. Add a slice of cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Toppings Preparation

  1. 3

    Sauté the Mushrooms

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are golden brown. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  2. 4

Prepare the Red Onion and Avocado

Thinly slice the red onion and set aside. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and slice it into thin wedges.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Toast the Buns

Spread butter on the cut sides of the brioche buns and toast them on the grill or in a skillet until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of the toasted brioche bun, place the cooked beef patty with melted cheese. Top with sautéed mushrooms, roasted red peppers, red onion slices, and avocado wedges. Cover with the top half of the bun.
