Burger Patties

Method

Prepare the Chili Mac

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 cup of macaroni pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Ground Beef

In the same pot, add 1 pound of ground beef over medium heat. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.

  3. 3

    Add Ingredients for Chili Mac

To the cooked beef, add 2 tablespoons of chili powder, 1 can of diced tomatoes, 1 can of drained kidney beans, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Stir to combine.

  4. 4

    Combine with Pasta

Add the drained macaroni to the pot and mix well. Reduce the heat to low and stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.

Prepare the Burger Patties

  1. 5

    Form the Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine 1 pound of ground beef with 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon of onion powder. Mix until just combined. Form into 4 equal patties.

  2. 6

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 7

    Build the Burger

Place each cooked patty on a burger bun. Top each patty generously with the prepared chili mac.

  2. 8

    Add Toppings

Add a dollop of sour cream, a sprinkle of chopped green onions, and sliced jalapeños on top of the chili mac.

  3. 9

    Serve

Serve immediately while hot and enjoy your Chili Mac Burger!
