Method
Prepare the Chili Mac

Cook the Pasta
In a large pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 cup of macaroni pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Cook the Ground Beef
In the same pot, add 1 pound of ground beef over medium heat. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.

Add Ingredients for Chili Mac
To the cooked beef, add 2 tablespoons of chili powder, 1 can of diced tomatoes, 1 can of drained kidney beans, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Stir to combine.

Combine with Pasta
Add the drained macaroni to the pot and mix well. Reduce the heat to low and stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
Prepare the Burger Patties

Form the Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine 1 pound of ground beef with 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon of onion powder. Mix until just combined. Form into 4 equal patties.

Place each cooked patty on a burger bun. Top each patty generously with the prepared chili mac.

Add Toppings
Add a dollop of sour cream, a sprinkle of chopped green onions, and sliced jalapeños on top of the chili mac.
