Burger Patties

Cheeseburger Assembly

Method

Prepare the Patties

1

Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently, being careful not to overwork the meat.

2

Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick.

3

Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add a small amount of oil to prevent sticking.

Cook the Patties

4

Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until browned.

5

Add Cheese

Flip the patties and immediately place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patties reach your desired doneness.

Assemble the Cheeseburgers

6

Prepare the Buns

While the burgers are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and optionally toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

7

Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf and a slice of tomato (sliced from the medium tomato).

8

Add the Patties

Place the cooked patties with melted cheese on top of the lettuce and tomato.

9

Finish the Assembly

Top with ketchup, mustard, and pickles as desired, then place the top half of the bun over the burger.
