Method

Prepare the Coffee

  1. 1

    Brew Coffee

Brew a strong cup of coffee and let it cool to room temperature. If desired, stir in coffee liqueur.

Make the Cream Mixture

  1. 2

    Whip Cream

In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside.

  2. 3

    Mix Mascarpone

In another bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth and creamy.

  3. 4

    Fold Mixtures

Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined.

Assemble the Tiramisu

  1. 5

    Dip Ladyfingers

Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

  2. 6

    Layer Ingredients

In a rectangular dish, place a layer of soaked ladyfingers, followed by a layer of the mascarpone cream mixture. Repeat the process until all ingredients are used, finishing with a cream layer on top.

Chill and Serve

  1. 7

    Refrigerate

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.

  2. 8

    Garnish

Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle with chocolate shavings if desired.
